Great contest, good vibes, decent surf but I could have lived with a little less size.
Too many waves on the head and no channels to work with from the hole.
Took 2nd twice in the semi's and 5th in the final off of only three waves (might have been two).
I know two things...I need to get in better shape and my 10'0" is.....done....finally.
Coos Bay had 6 surfers in, 4 went to the semi's, 2 to the finals...
Suck it Lincoln City!
Won some Hotline booties in the raffle but need to swap them for 9's, lol...
I have some pics but will load them later.
Have to get that nasty South Beach sand out of everything first. It's a light, dirty sand that sticks to everything, nasty.
