But its mid winter so I should shut up and quit whining.
I was going to head south this evening but my sil has other plans.
I don't do Christmas, well I do but not in the typical Americana fashion.
This season is cool, I like the melancholy, the ghost of family no longer with me, the expectations.
But for me, its a time to turn inward.
I don't do the Jesus thing though we have met.
The season for me, is more for introspection, readying a mind set for the New Year.
This year more or less sucked.
Sure, I caught 4 epic swells in SC, 16 really good local days.
But that really isn't the measure of a good year, is it?
Maybe for a surfer....lolz.
But overall, not my best year.
In any case, I am not in Afghanistan.
But I know four who are.
I hope they do the Jesus thing.
